If he smoked 3hours before he was driving he wasnt high. He was just at the point where hes tired and relaxed .

As much as I am an advocate of marijuana, they're right. Slightly impaired is impaired, you dont well i only slightly killed him or i only slightly robbed that store. You either are or arent.

Now on to the topic of herb, YES it can impair you at time and reduce inhibions but thats the point most non medical users smoke. As far as reaction times go... there was a study done that i read in a Hightimes that showed that people who were subjected to a simulated driving test, then smoked a single 1 gram joint of high grade cannabis and put in a driving simluator which was organized different. The people actually had a harder time with spacial coordination but had a faster reaction time. Meaning when the ball rolled into the street or the kid ran out to get it, they stopped in less than their original time, but when they parallel parked it took them a few seconds longer.

All in all, I dont think everyone should be smoking and driving. I should be one to talk, I smoke at my house and drive most places while im at least slighly high but never drive right after. But I'll tell you this much, I am a concious smoker who is aware of my actions and thoughts when im high as most heavy cannabis users.

Oh and dont forget guys, Cannabis effects everyone differently on different levels. So if your going to base anything off anything youve seen or seen a friend do.... yea.

the thing is he wasnt impaired. Stork you already know if u smoke agram itll wear off by 3hours. Especially if your with 3 or more people. Also all of you people are being judgemental on wanker because he mentioned weed and you think "Ohhhh weed, thats the problem for sure" when its really not.

I think if youve never smoked before then you dont got the right to critisize wanker because you dont know the full on "affects". If your going to talk about how you know everything about driving and weed on what you heard atleast know what its like by actually being in that situation. Not something youve heard on tv. Also like Stork said its diffrent on diffrent people. Some people get really nervous and stuff i know dam well i dont though. When im high it makes me concentrate more on solely one thing, thus helping. Stop being so judgemental on pot heads. Damn..

Wanker wouldnt be high after 3 hours. If anything just the slightest bit buzzed he was mainly relaxed which is way off from being high.

I love how you are defending him so much as if you know everything about how he was when it happened.

The fact is that something happened and he had to react quickly. He did react quickly and thats why the dog didnt get hit. Shit like that happens all the time. It is a drug and it does impair your judgement. Its no different if you take prescription medicine. It could alter your state of mind. I used to smoke all the time and just as Stork said, it affects everyone diferent. It still doesnt make it right to drive unless the affects are completly gone. Someone could have a couple beers and that could affect them more than someone else which could result in an accident. Just because you arent falling on the floor doesn't mean its not affecting you.


As far as you having beer. Its illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to have alchohol anywhere in their car or in possesion.Doesn't matter whos it is, the fact is that you had it. It is only legal for someone 21 yrs or older to have an un-opened container in the truck of the car, and it can only be in the truck.
