Haven't seen it, but heard it was ok.

Slumdog was great. It was a mix of a love story and success story.

Really showed how people live in the poor areas of India.

That's all foreigners do. They show the poor areas of India but never the rich areas. Indians should feel shame that they got this much poverty instead of being happy of winning an Oscar about their slum lives. I put my head in shame for sure.

So just because they didn't choose to be in poverty they can't celebrate over a movie winning an Oscar?

In case you forgot P@pi ChUl0 India has the worlds largest number of poor people. I highly doubt they chose to be that way...

The people in the "slums" don't want to be there and they don't have a choice, when you are born into poverty the chances are you'll stay poor. Its a tragedy but these people have to deal with it.

I understand this movie only shows the "slums" but what do you expect, India has about 65 million people living in these "slums."

In the end, it was a great movie and won many awards. But for you to say that these people shouldn't celebrate over a movie wining such a high prestigious award is just plane wrong, for most of these people that's all they have to be happy about.

Besides the point of an absolute offense towards me and others in the clan - let me briefly give you some insight that will slap you in the fucking face next time you post something as stupid as that.


First of all, being in poverty is not something you can help - therefore how can you be rightfully ashamed of it? I'm not sure if you know how the world works, but when you're in poverty, you can't instantly get out of it. Conforming to your particular idea that one who lives on less than a dollar a day should hold his head down in shame because he's in the situation that he's in (EVEN THOUGH HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY OF THE SAME OPPORTUNITIES THAT WE DO) is completely absurd. It's almost dehumanizing what you're saying.

The reverse of what you're saying (inferring what you consider is "right") is completely more astonishing to me. Which is: a wealthy country should make a movie about how wealthy they are. That to you would make a great movie, no? But a country "beneath" yours, shows a movie with modern a realistic concepts of their world is ridiculous. Right? No, you're just fucking yourself you cunt.

So let's adopt the idea that being proud that your movie won Best Picture that was low budget, had a damn good plot, and depicted how many people in India DO live is actually something to be clearly be proud of. That to me is humane. That is logical.

I've never really met you, but you've definitely made your impression on me. Well done idiot.

It's my personal opinion. I didn't mean to offend anyone but I think it's kinda lame that they got so happy over the fact they are poor. I know it's hard on them but you shouldn't be that happy about it.

I've been to India 4 times in my life. It's not the whole entire country like that. Most of the people there enjoy their lives. I never said anything about how they should look at rich people like that.

If someone wants to proliferate the type of ignorance we (as a society) are supposed to be fighting by thinking that, then it's in your best interest to save your opinion to yourself.
