ok, time for me to step in... this is my topic

It is actualy the female flower of the plant. The "Bud" that you smoke, that has the most THC, CBN, and CBD. All somewhat psychoactive, but all have a slightly different effect and bond to different receptors in the brain. THC being the most prevalent in receptors and content of the plants. The leafs are also sometimes smoked in lower quality buds or improperly manacured high grade buds.

Almost every part of the plant has THC, but not CBN and CBD. Even the roots of a plant has trace ammounts.

While it is something we put into our bodies, it has been shown that our bodys produce something that is also found in cannabis called THCV. In its purest form it is psychoactive.
