yes, i get that, history repeats its self, still don't see why you have to learn it for so many years of your life when like hardly ANYONE uses it, i can see it being used with lawyers with amendments and stuff, i can see it being used by presidents or leaders so they don't repeat a mistake that was done by a previous leader, but what are the chances of becoming a president? would you be a good lawyer? or maybe you'd like to do something with a museum, but hey, what are the chances of you having the money to build a museum? might as well go around touring people and show them your knowledge..it's basically like it being a requirement that everyone learns something with computers, you can advance so much in computers and alot of people would be rich, but what if you don't want to use that knowledge? it all goes to waste, your time, your work, etc...

It's because were you live. If your living in United States of America (or any other country really) you learn the history to know the culture of the country, to familiarize with your country (why it is the way it is). By studying history you can also tell the country's relations with other countries. It's true that you may not need many of the things they teach you in school generally such as science and physics but it's a background on things. Stop your whinning and learn something from it. Education is a freaking gift. Take as much as you can.

You said it would be used by presidents? It should be used by the people to keep in control those damn presidents. History teaches us the shitty actions presidents take and we can use them on today's events. It is oh so true about history repeating. Today's recession maybe tomorrow's depression. My thoughts are out of place all over this things. I suck at organizing thoughts as you can now well see.

Well, someone who wants to employ you for a game they are making wants you to know the history about games, what makes up a computer,blah blah blah.

You get my point.


Your right in the sense you don't need to know when this or that happened if you wanna be a truck driver or singer, but it still helps us see the world better if we know more about history in my opinion.
