In about August 2 years ago (08 ), i was massively addicted to surf. So i found the server via a surf map being played. I think i was there on the creation of that nrc thingymabob

I found the server in around 2005 I think, and everybody in the server was cool so I decided to sign up for recruitment. It wasn't until a year later that I got in. I think I have the 2nd longest recruitment that actually got in.

Well, my best friend and me started getting into counter strike in 2006. We used to play everyday together on a CS 1.6 server called Drunk Off Your Ass, and being kids we would just have fun. We pretty much played everyday to the point that our GPA went from 4.0 to around 3.2 and our parents were so mad... So I quit CS, but got into CSCZ and I was just an average pubber going from pub to pub whenever I felt like going on. Long and behold, I found Splak. The first member I talked to was Gigi, I got her REAL upset. Anyways, I kept playing for a year in Splak and applied after that. When I first applied I got so many negative comments, but I grew up and took all the constructive advice from everyone, and after a year I got in.

January of 07' it was just a random server i found since my old clan HL(AKA HappyLand) dissapeared and i found some cool people playing in the server so i got pretty hooked, and not to mention i loved the voting of maps back then since i was getting tired of the same ole map rotation which got annoying and boring

It was November of 2008, I found it just playing in random cz servers, thought the clan was cool and made my recruitment post Monday, December 08, 2008.

i just joined this randomley because the name had "Awesome" in it, and i remember the map ka_roadwars_v6 and i thought it wasw so badass and got addicted, and i think this was all when i was in 7th grade so like the end of 2006 haha i remember i was friends with gigi and cursed was "cursed sasuke" and this is back when nevermind, penguin, snake, stack and chris would be on all the time

Within my first two days of playing L4D2, I pubbed with Stackable. He'd invite me to a few other games so I didn't lose touch with him. This past weekend, I found out he lives within a 10mi or so radius of me. The we just started talking and I learned about Splak and it sounded worthwhile. So it was completely by lucky chance :P

I used too always play superhero mod with gnourt. If you guys remember him. We always played their, and talked on steam friends. Shortly after he found the server he told me how awesome this new server he stumbled across was(splak). He told me it had over 500 maps, and then I played once and got addicted too the server and that's.

And while were stuck on how we discovered splak why not how we came across are names too?
As far as where my name "smackAhoe" came from was because the admins kept changing my name. My original name was smack0crack which I ripped off from a guy in this mmo called LegendOfAres. I joined the server when it was d2 and all the admins kept changing my name. I remember that the two main admins were korn and hellfish -.- They changed my name from smack0crack to LickBalls, smackMYass, etc... haha then smackAhoe, and then I ended up keeping it.

Insanely small world. The L4D2 server is hosted probably 10mi on the other side of you depending on exactly where you're at.

I believe it was cursed that took the longest too get in? wasn't it like a little over a year? Or was it 8 months? I forgot.
And haha I remember that reaper. Yeah I found this server probably 2007-2008? Just about a few months after I started playing. I remember I got in right after hellfish got kicked out. So whenever he got kicked out was when I joined. And when I first started playing everyone always played. I remember seeing stack, bob, korn, hellfish, fish, pepto, frozen wolf?(i think that was his name), penquin, snake, awol, haiku.
