actually, Slayer83 did that shit, though i'm not really sure why.

He also lost his power steering pump too.

Maybe it was just for the loss in weight, i'm not sure.

BUT, considering that the humidity/heat in MS is nuts anyways, take the fact that you have to use a TON of effort to move the steering wheel, i think keeping them was the wiser move, even if it seemed to have added 100 HP.

Yea, lowers the weight of your car, plus allows you to save on fuel, if thats a problem.

But theres pros and cons.

PRO
1.Loss in weight
2.Saving fuel
3.Could sell the a/c

CON
1.Heat may be to much to bear without it
2. Could cause some damage if not done properly

False. A/C does NOT cost you any gas. That's an absolute wive's tale. I know, I know; All of you are gonna spam me with "idiot" and "retard!", but if you do that it just proves you're gullible...

That was with A/C turned on... If you turn the A/C off it does not affect the car. A/C it's just extra weight.

Actually it will help a little bit. Yes removing it of course will take out that weight inside the car. It also gives the car less to do. By disconnecting the belt your car wont be pushing that extra power to basically run it. I have a 1965 Beetle and of course I dont have one but I do have to admit it sucks with out it. I ride around during the summer with my shirt off. Just make sure everything else is still connect with the belt because you wouldnt want to lose the power steering cuz that just sucks.

Ok, it will save on fuel, but with windows down you will lose more fuel than the ac, the only way you will save is turning off the ac, but leaving windows up. The point is, removing the AC will not save on fuel any MORE than just not turning it on..... So leave it there, cause you may want it one day, but it will drop like 10 lbs, but you can do that by removing something else.

As for people taking it off, its normally dead and cost too much to fix, and they just get rid of it for weight, or they did some kind of motor swap, and the compressor will not fit the new motor.

So yeah, leave it on there, unless it is really dead, cause you wont save any millage by removing it, and will just drop a few lbs, uh go take a dump before you drive it next time.
