Anyone heard this yet, It has been announced last week but is official, hd dvd is dead. Gamestop stopped taking hd dvd trade-ins and other companies are not supporting hd dvd. No more format wars, meaning cheaper blu ray players (hopefully) |

I think Blu-Ray has like 5 times more capacity then regular dvds, but im not sure. |

blu ray is basically the same shit as hdvd, sony bought the rights to HDVD or something and now HDVD is gone so sony can be dominant |

No they didnt buy it... They got a ton of studios on their side so very little movies are being made on the HD dvd format meaning its dead. Blu-ray discs are actually bigger than HD-dvd discs. |
