It's a long and grievous process. But if your really interested, I hope you have the patience for it! Here's a link to Reaper's brief, yet comprehensible tutorial: http://splak.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72 Good luck! |

Here let me give you an overview of mapping... "Theres that compile button!" *click!* LEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAKLEAK Warning: === LEAK in hull 0 === Entity light @ (-419,-1172,-1016) Error: A LEAK is a hole in the map, where the inside of it is exposed to the (unwanted) outside region. The entity listed in the error is just a helpful indication of where the beginning of the leak pointfile starts, so the beginning of the line can be quickly found and traced to until reaching the outside. Unless this entity is accidentally on the outside of the map, it probably should not be deleted. Some complex rotating objects entities need their origins outside the map. To deal with these, just enclose the origin brush with a solid world brush Leak pointfile generated Warning: === LEAK in hull 1 === Entity info_player_deathmatch @ (-1258,2276,-1235) Warning: === LEAK in hull 2 === Entity info_player_deathmatch @ (-1258,2276,-1235) Warning: === LEAK in hull 3 === Entity info_player_start @ (-589,-747,-323) 13.16 seconds elapsed Yeh... get ready for a lot of that. |

stolenz Nope, here try this. go to MyComputer/C:/valve/Half-life select the halflife.wad You can also use any of the .wads from map you downloaded in you czero folder. I would use the halflife.wad because EVERYBODY has it. I might also use it along with a combination of 2-3 other wads. Hope I helped you out! |
