To get a visa or something to move to america for like a year or so? Ive wanted to move to america for sometime. But I dont know how to go around getting a visa or whatever you need. I know im only 16 and probs wouldnt move until im 20-22 (if im still up for it) but im just curious on how to do it? |

I'm guessing you dont just need a tourist visa you need a work visa to stay for a year legally. You'll need to apply for a job online or by. They will send you their acceptance form (the student acceptance was called f-20, not sure what the work one is called). This acceptance is a good as a visa. You take it to the embassy along with your passport, fill an application. Then they call you up for an interview to know the details of your stay.. and ask you question to know how serious you are about working over there and other stuff etc. Then the visa is printed on your passport. However if you're not planning on work you just apply for a tourist visa directly from the embassy, again fill the form, do the interview and have the visa printed onto your passport. The procedure may differ from one country to another, I'm sure in Europe its easier than the Middle East. Btw when you're 20-22 all that could change so just call them up when the time comes! I thought for European Passport, you don't need visiting visa to go to United States. You can stay around 3 to 6 months legally. |
