Remember all the floods I was telling you about? Well my town got hit HARD. Read in the paper how there are looters in the city, and some have gotten arrested, but others remain. That's like the shittiest thing ever, looting. I was helping a friend of a friend clean up after they had like 12 feet of water in their basement. Shit is hard work. Took down all the drywall, ceilings, doors, and carpet. We had three hammers, to crowbars, and two hand saws. Everything is hella saturated with water, and there was like an inch and a half of brown poo water everywhere. Worked from 11 to five, hardest thing I've ever done. Every songle house in the neighborhood I was in had like a 5 foot tall, 12 feet wide or more pile of shit in their front yard. News and army all over the place. I've heard some places got it even worse though, like the whole house destroyed. My highschool TV and AV studio as well as our gyms got trashed. I have a whole new respect for all the people who helped out at Katrina, and those who were displaced. Person I helped today said he, his wife, and their 3 month and 20 month old got canoed to safety, and luckily someone let them in their home during the worst of it. mouthful, but interesting. |

I also got payed a good deal of money from the person we helped(Did not go in knowing that), and I wanted to give it back, but I was afraid I would seem ungrateful, or he'd think I thought i was to good for his money. So I used the best advice ever given, when in Rome, and took it like the rest of the guys. My fingernails are in agony as well, weirdest place to be sore. |

dude, I was 45 minutes north of New Orleans when Katrina came through. There were people looting DURING the fucking hurricane. SERIOUSLY!!!! 2 guys rode by on a bicycle, had a battery operated saws all... Cut through bars in a jewelry store and stole 30k in diamonds. seriously. don't mind the 140 mph wind. afterwards was insane, people were throwing bricks n shit through the storefront windows and "shopping" seriously, they weren't rushing. they went in and shopped for what they wanted, and then just walked out. it was CRAZY! |

Not that bad here, but when people could not get to their stores because of the water, people like canoe up there and jack shit, then paddle away. |
