Processor: E3350 Xeon 2.66GHz Quadcore Processor Overclocked to 3.52GHz (I am the current record holder on DFI for lowest volted overclocked processor) Chip is 1.25v chip, most people run it 1.35-1.4, I am currently 24 hrs stable at 1.19v and dropping. Custom water cooling built by me Memory: 4GB DDR2 1066 Hard Drive: Currently a 500gb drive, I also have a Raptor 150 for it, but I am going to run a raid, since Raptor150s are no longer sold, current choice is dual WD 640s (fastest 7200rpm drives on the market), I my current thought is, single raptor for XP install, raid 0 for my vista (dual boot, separate drives), with a 500gb for storage. Video Card: TBA (GTX260 is top on my list of choices) Monitor: 21in LCD Sound Card: Razer Barracuda AC-1 Speakers/Headphones: Everglide S-500 Keyboard: IBM Mouse: Microsoft Mouse Surface: mouse pad with gel wrist part Operating System: XP pro (soon to be dual boot) Motherboard: DFI x48 Computer Case: Antec P182 Gunmetal Finish Pics of build from another post: Fans on the left, radiator in the middle, ram at the bottom, spare PSU on the top (northbridge cooler sitting on top of the psu box), fan controller and rad-box on right Install Rad-box onto the radiator Install fans to other side of radiator Remove rear fan screws from case Let the fan hang, we will be re-installing it soon Take the radiator and remove the rad-box insert Line up the insert, install screws, mount fan with supplied screws Mount radiator to installed rad-box bracket Open case Remove lower hard drive container Remove upper hard drive container and install fan Test fit pump and mini-res Run and cut all tubing (leaving plenty of extra to be trimmed off later) Remove everything, fill with water and coolant, test. I did this to check for leaks and to clean out everything, will drain all this water and start with fresh distilled water, coolant, and biocide when it re-install in my computer next wed/thurs (when my motherboard comes in). It has been running for a day now, no leaks. Motherboard unpacked Install Northbridge cooler Install CPU cooler Install Motherboard inside case, Hook up power cables Install Water Tubes Fill with water, coolant, and biocide Turn on, test for leaks Note: I did everything you see above BEFORE I received my processor, so normally the CPU would already be installed Here is the beast, Xeon X3350 2.66 Quad core 45nm 1333fsb 12mb cache I then "lapped" the top of my processor, I took 300 grit then 600 grit sandpaper and removed the top layer of the IHS on the processor, exposing the copper beneath the tin cover, and a flat surface to transfer better heat Applied Artic silver 5, very thin layer Installed CPU Finished! |

I don't keep track of that, alot of parts I have are free, or from other spare parts I have, whatever. But when all is said and done I expect to have about $2000 into it. |
