Post subject:  Most Epic Fail... On my part...

:( :cry: :( :cry: Well, i finally reformatted my computer. But uh, here's the thing... When i finally go through the Start Up process, I do all of this crap, and wham. It hits me. I look at Computer: Disk Drive D: and its full. And guess what? Its Fucking Steam!!! NOTHING CHANGED BUT MY DESKTOP! .... I'm soooo depressed right now... Ive totally given up on this whole lag thing... might as well just.... lag....

You probably did "recovery" or something - completely format all your hard drives and install windows from scratch.

Nah, its okay. I just deleted my Steam folder entirely. I'm reinstalling right now. Hopefully it should run faster. I had 90,000 items in the folder!! it took up almost 30 GB of memory. While my computer has only 32.2 GB. I have a good fealing that THAT was the problem. :shock:

Hard drive is memory.... so technically he is right, even though most people use the word "memory" to refer to Random Access Memory (RAM), more specifically DIMM, or dual in-line memory module, and RAM is just one of the many types of computer memory. Processor Registers, L1/L2/L3 Cache, RAM, ROM, CMOS/BIOS flash, Cell based Flash, Floppy, (magnetic) Hard drive, Optical.... etc.
