hey, i was looking to buy a paintball gun sometime soon don't want to spend a shitload of money though, so does anyone have any suggestions? |

I have a tippman 98 custom. Do what I did, walk out of the paintball park with it. And if they ask for a credit card or phone or drivers license bring a dead old ass phone and turn that in and just leave the phone there. Any1 who disses the 98 doesn't know anything. It can be modified in two seconds to be the fastest shooting paintball gun at 26bps. All you have to do is take the pin out of the back of the trigger to make it hold down the bolt's locking mechanism making the bolt swing back and forth 26 times a second. Then all you will need is a halo hopper and a couple new bolts because your bolt gets killed. So ace, now what's the piece of shit? Btw I h8 98C. But it will get much better if you get a longer barrel, a double trigger, and a set of new springs that make it easier to pull the trigger so that u can walk it easier |

98 custom definitely may be versatile, but it is not that great of a gun at all. its not worth purchasing, not even worth stealing imho. |

Eh.... 26 bps doesn't sound so bad for when you want to shoot your friend. I changed my gun and it was soooo fast but I felt like the recoil was a machine gun. That bolt goes so fast. Also 98C is very reliable. It's like the tank of paintball guns. Throw it in the air and it won't break the. Repeat with an ion or spyder and you lose your gun. |

The ion is plastic. doubt it'll break. There is a reason the tippman is a rental gun, it sucks. Even if you could get it to 26 BPS, you would chop balls like crazy. You would have to upgrade it to get it DECENT. When you are done upgrading it, you could have just bought a good gun with that money. |

Yeah, it's cool cuz it's automatik. Btw when you make it 26 bps the recoil is like a pistol. |
