Post subject:  Arrested

Well I haven't been on and not going to be for a while cuz I'm at my dads house working for some of his friends as a summer job.

So today I was working at an auto mechanic and was gonna leave with a bus to downtown to go to the gym with my dad hen he would take me home with him.

So as I'm walking to the bus I see a couple cops hanging out and when I was walking by they told me to get on the fence. I got on the fence
and started laughing until they told me it was serious.

They aske me asome questions and handcuffed me and put me in te car for an hour and a half. By that time they verified my address and the investigator came. He asked me some questions then finally let me go.

Turns out there was an arsenal kid using fireworks made a fire and they thought it was me. I'm currently a suspect and waiting for a mail with instructions. I was at work the whole day and stupid cops put me in the car and make me wait.

I have decided police are idiots with nothing better to do. If I was to start the fire do you honestly think I would walk toward a group of cops at the site of the fire?

Rofl just got word from my dad.

The cop that arrested me hadn't told me I ha the right to remain silent and now since my dad is friends with a sargeant sherrif and his attorney friend volunteered to help out for free.

Fuckin cop is gonna get it

Rofl when I was leaving I asked him if I get a out of jail free card for wasting my time.

And clearly from what happened today I don't have the right to take a bus without getting arrested.

What other rights do I have?

Doesn't sound like you were arrested...

Sounds like they wanted to ask you some questions, and you were being a dick...

arrest v. 1) to take or hold a suspected criminal with legal authority, as by a law enforcement officer. An arrest may be made legally based on a warrant issued by a court after receiving a sworn statement of probable cause to believe there has been a crime committed by this person, for an apparent crime committed in the presence of the arresting officer, or upon probable cause to believe a crime has been committed by that person. Once the arrest has been made, the officer must give the arrestee his/her rights ("Miranda rights") at the first practical moment, and either cite the person to appear in court or bring him/her in to jail. A person arrested must be brought before a judge for arraignment in a short time (e.g. within two business days), and have his/her bail set. A private "security guard" can not actually arrest someone except by citizen's arrest, but can hold someone briefly until a law officer is summoned. A "citizen's arrest" can be made by any person when a crime has been committed in his/her presence. However, such self-help arrests can lead to lawsuits for "false arrest" if proved to be mistaken, unjustified or involving unnecessary holding.
