Look in the newspaper under classified, you'll find some good cars. I would aim for a 4 door, 4 cylinder car to start as your first car (your friends will want rides as well). Also, look for reliable brands such as Honda, keep in mind if your car were to break down and needed a part would you need to go to a specialty store or could you just stop buy your local Advance Auto Parts.

I got my 2000 Acura Integra from someone who posted it in the Washington Post under Classified. I got it for about 3500, It's a 4 door 4 cylinder car. It gets the job done and I fucking love it. The previous owner put in a new engine w/ DOHC

Well most beaters sell for around 1000 euro and up, the only thing is to get them to pass the CTD it's this gay ass inspection on vehicles that are 4 years old, so the belgian government can make more money. I want a beater that way I only have to pay liability and if I wreck it, Who gives a crap? Not I.

My first ride was a 1996 dodge ram. It was a big ass truck, and starting with that and moving to a car, I feel like i'm in a go-cart now.

I know what you mean. This is the bigest truck I'm licensed to drive. They're not very fast but they get the job done.

Black you can't go wrong with a VW golf. I rented one of those things here for a week and tore that shit up. I made heavy use of the e-brake LOL. But about a week and a half ago I bought a 96' 2.0L VW Passat for 2000 Euro (2855 USD). Love the thing to death. It shares the same engine as the Golf. I like VW.
