Going to the track in 2 weeks. Have lost of work to be done, but the past few days I got alot done.
A few weeks ago Chris and I taped everything off and painted the fiberglass kit I bought. It cost me about 500 for this whole project, but its alot cheaper than replacing 3000 worth of parts of my bike if I wreck any (fiberglass = cheaper).
This is what it looked like when I got them in
Then I painted them all black, then started on the front fender, Chris taped off the black parts, I painted the rest silver, then removed the tape and clear coated it. Next we had to put all the parts on my bike, to test fit, then Chris is going to tape off the design of it so that it matches my gas tank. Then I will pull it all back off this week/weekend, paint, and put it back on, and woot, my bike will be done.
More pictures will be posted on the final product
Fresh paint:
Finished front fender:
Stripped down bike:
Test fitting, drilled all the hole to mount everything
Washed, ready for tape, then everything removed, then paint...
