I just dled Win 7 Ultimate. I couldn't be happier. Win 7 is amazing in every way I highly recommend it over vista/xp

Even tho my new pc is not what I've expected and I dunno if I'm keeping it xD

Windows 7 = win

srly I love it the way it looks and feels its just great.

I bought a HP mini during Christmas and have windows 7 starter. It's a very light version. Thank goodness Microsoft decided to extend the amount of programs you can have open at one time. I had to download a program though so I could change the desktop background. All in all I'm happy with the OS.

I find the entire windows 7 love, and vista hate thing to be hilarious. They take vista throw a new skin on it, add the new taskbar, tweak the kernel to run less if it detects a slow computer, add a dozen UI enhancements, call it windows 7, and everyone loves it and they make a killing. Window 7 is vista v1.1, you can even look at the version numbers and tell:
Win 2000 = NT5.0
Win XP = NT5.1
Win vista = NT6.0
Win 7 = NT6.1

There is a reason Microsoft is so big and successful...

P.S. Windows 7 is the first ever OS that I actually paid for... haha

I never ran Vista, but going from Xp to Win 7 makes a difference.

should i upgrade from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate Edition? or is it not worth the hassle?

Windows 7 Pro is the most you will use, if you are paying for it, ultimate's features are useless for a home user. If its free, get whatever you want.
