I just preordered mine right now. With sales tax and a one time 18$ fee its was 257, but honestly I don't care I just can't wait for my sexy phone to arrive. What is your thoughts on the new Iphone? |

I pre-ordered mine yesterday, I'm not expecting it to wow me, more of an incremental update, but faster processor, 2x RAM of 3gs, better screen, better camera, more durable glass and case are all a plus. |

Cole I've been searching everywhere for the Iphone 4's ram but it hasn't been announced. I am hoping to god it is 512mb as you said but I can't say I've seen anywhere confirm it nor processor clock speed, but the new A4 processor's architecture is much much better than the 3g's EDIT: just googled it and saw that it is confirmed for 512MB of RAM and I still haven't heard of the clock speed but I'm guessing Apple is going to underclock it to 800mhz to save battery life. |

The RAM has been announced and it's 512MB, twice as much than the 3GS. |

The way you wrote it, 3g's (meaning the processor for the 3g) is correct, the A4 is much better, if its the 3gs, then no, same architecture. 1 = 412 MHz ARM-11 (older architecture) 128mb RAM 3g = 412 MHz ARM-11 (older architecture) 128mb RAM 3gs = 600MHZ ARM Cortex-A8 (2x as much overall power as the ARM-11) 256mb RAM, and a about 8x the video power (PowerVRSGX535 + VXD370). 4 = 1000mhz? ARM Cortex - A8 (rebuilt as a SOC-A4) 512mb RAM, and upgraded PowerVR SGX535 + VXD375 chip. The A4 is Apple's on version of the ARM Cortex chip, just with extra tweaks, but the core is still a A8. I'd say 75% chance it is running 1000mhz. |

Yeah I meant the 3g's processor since I currently have the 3g and sometimes it runs so slow I want to shoot it with my pellet gun then pour some gas and burn it and it is going to be a gigantic leap for me from 3g to the 4. As for clock speed I mostly think it is going to be a 1.2 ghz chip underclocked to 1ghz. Overall, I want to hibernate until July 6 when my Iphone 4 will just have arrived in my mail box. Also, Apple needs to learn to think of cooler names. Iphone HD > Iphone 4. Ichat > Face Time. |

Agreed with the names, retinal display lol, also agreed with 3g, I have one, and when I use a 3gs its night and day difference. |

It is going to feel like I entered a new decade of technology going from 3g to 4. Another let down by Apple which I have yet to confirm is the Iphone 4 speakers. They need to put a better speaker if they haven't already, because it is TERRIBLE. |
