I wonder if I should buy the majority of the books needed for my classes online since I want to save money. I just don't want to buy from a seller on amazon or ebay and receive a piece of junk.

I am using bigwords.com to figure out the best prices, but what are some other good sites you guys use?
And how do you tell if the seller is legit and trust worthy.

I'm gonna try to not buy any books from my colleges bookstore since they are so pricey, so yeah. Any info and tips would be hella awesome :D

Thanks <3

I buy my books from CTC online. They buy them back after the semester and you can write them off on your taxes. Your school might have a buy back program.

CHEGG.COM

NP

you save tons of money from chegg because you "rent" the books and return them at the end of the semester.

Yep. Exactly what I'm doing. I was told that buying them would not be a good idea because you wont really use them in the future and its better to rent since its cheaper and you can get it quickly. I also recommend rent-a-text.com. Someone told me about ichapters.com. You can buy a chapter from a textbook to read in case if a teacher doesnt really make you read too many chapters out of a textbook.

When you rent books out do they usually come with everything (cds and such)?
I'm thinking about just buying over amazon and then checking with my bookstore to see if they will buy the books back for more than what I payed and make some cash $$$ :P
