Nice looking car, whats wrong with the engine?

You should not turbo it unless you do a motor swap, or have a few grand to do a forged crank, rod, pistion setup with low compression, the 140 horsepower engine cant take alot of power before it blows up, I would save your money and not do N2O or Forced induction, cause you will only get like 200hp total out of it, if you have 5grand to spend you may get 300+ out of it, but then the trans, clutch, and cv joints will have to be upgraded.

yea i know that the tranny can handle 250 before it goes. but the engine has a reall bad knock my mechanic thinks its a busted rod but my bro thinks it might jsut be a rod bearing. so im just gonna get the engine rebuilt n think about running just really low boost like 4 or 5 psi i can do taht safely by just gettin a FMU n mabye tune the ECU wit a Apexi SAFC NEO, but i might be gettin a rebuild kit that comes with forged pistons an shit just not a crank n rods casue i dont got the 1400 that kit was. The brilant moron who blew the engine says i could do a stock rebuild n run a 5 psi safley but i need to buy an exhaust n tires before i do anything else to the car also new fender n mirror.

n display as for those cars the camaro we didnt have the money for an the civic the asshole never got back to me about goin to look at it.

An my parents just thought since we had this car sittin around and they were still paying for it we might as well fix it n i said ok i want taht now.

I would think 5psi would be more than safe, but I don't know much about small engines. I know plenty of people who run 9psi on stock LT1s and LS1s, I even knew a guy that took a 100% stock 2002 mustang (in 2002), put a vortech charger @ 12psi and ran 12.0s until it blew a head gasket after 12 months, got it all fixed under warranty (removed the charger), then put it back on and sold the car.

All kits for my car are 5psi for un-intercooled, and 9psi for intercooled, then the 20+psi ones are for boost-built engines.

OOO thats was a good idea that guy had couldnt they tell it was ran on boost tho?
Anywho when it was turboed before we were running like 2 or 3 psi on a stock Plusart GTIR T25 turbo (i think tahts what it is) either that or it would jsut barley hit 5 psi. But some times it would spkie 10 then drop to 5 but also it wasnt tuned or had upgraded injectors n whenever u hit 4000 RPMs the a/f guage would fling over to lean. The SR20DE im pretty sure has almost the same internals as the Silvias SR20DET except jsut at diff comp ratios and i heard taht it might be able to handle 300+ hp on stock internals but im not sure like alot of ppl have 200sxs or sentra sers turbos on this one forum an the one guy was making 300 somin on stock internals n there was a vid of him destroying a evo, n i thought i want taht car but id idnt have 6 grand to buy it. But if i go turbo ima get some stronger rods n pistons eventually an a turbo camshaft set from jim wolf tec an also get a tuned ecu for turbo n like 400cc injectors n all that shit.
