First, make sure your console is enabled (just like all other source games), go to options, keyboard/mouse, enable developer console. If you want to join a specific server (and no friend is in there) connect ip:port (for example connect 65.183.111.42:27018) If you put up a lobby and you want it to go to one of our servers (the server has to be empty), while in the lobby (you have to be the lobby leader), go to console and type: ms_force_dedicated_server 65.183.111.42:27018 or for my 8v8 server: ms_force_dedicated_server 65.183.111.42:27019 Then start searching for the server, it will put your lobby into the specified server. If you want to play with 16 people and the 16 slot server is empty, use the above method to start a lobby and get 8 in the server, then invite 8 more through steam friends. |

Does this still work? Getting an error message in console when I'm in a lobby :X |

It changed. In L4D2 they disabled console while in lobby, so set these binds, then when lobby leader just hit the key then start. bind f11 "mm_dedicated_force_servers 65.183.111.42:27027" <--- splak standard bind f12 "mm_dedicated_force_servers 65.183.111.42:27026" <--- splak 9v9 modded |
