i got a virus.. a trojan virus and all.. can any1 help me somehow kill it?? coz it's a buggin motha fuka.. it won't let me go to my control panel.. and it installed bullshit on my pc... if u can help... i would very much appreciate it.. and i tried to do system restore to a few days ago... but it said no days are available.. i think it deleted my saved stuff... coz it infected some stuff where it said c:\something something...\sustem restore\ something else... XD and since i have avg... i thought it would destroy it.. but instead... it spread to most of my documents...

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from Here

Install the program, and scan for any Malware, then fix the problem.

Download Vundofix, to make sure you don't have this trojan. THis can be downloaded from here - http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

Install this program, and scan for any trojans.

If this doesnt work, please post again and i'll help

yea.. i tried to install malwarebytes... but it lets me press run... but then it won't open it... and yesterday it wouldn't let me open control panel but somehow it did after about 4 hours.. and it says Trojan Horse Vundo.EY... that's what i have...

yea.. it says that i don't have any virus but it still doesn't let me download malwarebytes for some reason...

You obviously don't have Vundo if Vundofix doesnt detect it!

Is there any error messages when you try and download? what does it do?

it shows the run screen and all... but then when i click run.. it doesn't do anything else... like it doesn't run the program... and idk why.. but avg tells me when i scan that it found an infected file with a Trojan Horse Vundo.EY.. and different endings... it shows me an error when i try to open mozila firefox....u think i should un-install it for now??

Yhea I got the vundo. I went to windows and tried their Windows Live one care and it found i and cleared out my computer. Just did the free trial.



Like I said try that.

Go to www.hijackthis.de download the file in the top right corner, no installations needed (i think), run and save the logfile. Copy ALL of the selection. Post it here or PM me if you feel unsafe. I will try and help fix the problem like that.

it bugs me rlly badly coz it turned my pc off for 4 hours and it didn't let me turn it back on... i finally did it before it froze at the start-up screen... and the HJTInstall.exe file.. it did the same thing when i tried to run it... never opened up... tried to open it both ways... :\.... also i see a warning from AVG that says :
aqwweohwq.com/xbweriowqa/index.php and then the infection is Exploit MDAC ActiveX codec exec... and then another infection it found is a Trojan Horse SHeur2.QQI and it says that it also found a registry key with reference to infected file C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlog.exe
HKU\S-1-5-21-2331340816-3599095685-823744211-1008\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run\winlog

(It won't let me go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlog.exe
it says that i'm not authorized for some of he files and then that it cannot find the file... do u think that if i system restore it it'll be better??? like save my music and pics and then erase every single thing so it'll be factory new??) (prolly that way i won't lag anymore X] )

System restore is pretty much a checkpoint that will uninstall and delete from registry all the things you installed after the creation of the restored point. If you done a Restore point before you got hit with the virus then I recommend using system restore. If you have not, however, try logging in as the administrator and running hijackthis.

tried all the ones Storms told me about... none of them worked... sooo i installed pc doctor and found quite a few infections... 64 viruses XD... and 105 infections... all trojan horses and one of them was vundo... but i got the shield deluxe 2009 (best antivirus of this year) and if that doesn't work.... system restore it to as it was when i got it corn... coz if u can't go back to a month ago coz it erased all ur restore points.... then u can press f10 at startup and it erases everything u didn't save yet...

You should have gotten avast! and ad-aware. I had a very nasty trojan which those two problems got rid of it (and more!)

if your not able to run ANY executables... then your best bet is to go ahead and take it somewhere and ask them to remove it, if that's not an option...

save any data you can, and then reformat it.

You'll spend more time than that computer is probably worth trying to get that shit off, and it may never really come off.
