Soo... i figured i would just go ahead and get a laptop but i dont want to waste my money.I want something powerful that has a really good processor and graphic card I mostly will use for gaming so i want something that can handle steam and games like WOW.... any suggestions???? I was looking at possibly getting an alienware laptop.Im pretty much a complete noob when it comes to choosing whats best. |

Why not buy a nice desktop, for gaming, and a cheap laptop, for portable shit, it will cost around the same thing... |

lol my desktop right now is about to bite the dust and my dad will probaly get a new desktop ill pretty much have no control over what he gets so i figured i would just get my own laptop. |

For WoW, you don't need amazing shit. It's not meant to be a game based off of sick graphics like CoD4 or even source for that matter. However, if you play CoD4 a lot and other games of that nature that require a good set up, Alienware seems a bit over priced even though they do make some good stuff. To be honest, I think you'd be better off building your own desktop to make it fit your needs. There's loads of stuff on the web to search and learn about and I am sure there's many people even on this forum that could lend you a hand. Just do some research online, google "gaming laptop" or something of that nature, or check pc magazines and see their reviews. I guess the only advice I'm saying is, check what games you really want to play and see what they suggest you have for minimum system requirements and go from there. DO RESEARCH! Yeah, but its easier to get a desktop as it does the job better than a laptop. If I was gonna get another laptop, i'd get the dell XPS. |

Do research on making a desktop b/c it is cheaper and you can tailor make it to your needs. Do research to find a laptop that, at minimum, fits the needs of the games you want to play. If you're going to critique my comments, at least stay on topic by suggesting a laptop for him at the end. Ty |

Tell me what games other than WoW do you want to play on it. Gaming laptops suck, but is better to find one that is cheap and good for what your going to play. |
