Hi, I will be building a new computer very soon and I need some help. I need to know if this processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115037 will be compatible with this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128059 Also, any advice if you think these parts are not suitable for a proper build and what parts are would help. IT is compatible, but if your thinking of overclocking your going to need a better motherboard. |

Actually corn, I am using that exact cpu/motherboard combo, with the g.skill ddr 800 4gb (2x2) kit, on my work PC, the one I am using right now. My boss said build a PC for under 450, so thats what I got, used case, used PSU, used hard drive...lol. And by the way, its running the STOCK intel heatsink, @3.6ghz (400x9), and DDR800, with mild voltage increase. You can get a nice case (100), powersupply (50), hard drive (80), dvd burner (30), 9600gt (150), 4gb ram (80), and that motherboard + cpu and have a nice gaming computer for cheap, around 500-600, overclock it to 3.6 (which is mild for that chip), and be able to play about anything out at full settings. If anyone on here every wants me to build it for them, load it down with software (windows XP pro, office pro, nero ultra, disk keeper) etc etc, then overclock it for you, I am always up for a challenge. I will charge the price for the parts, plus shipping, throw in the software for free, and just charge for my time (building and overclocking). |
