Alright so i havent been on much cuz my monitor but i fixed it and all but i cant use my old mouse so im stuck with using a shitty wire less mouse which is all glitchy any ideas why my old mouse wont work?(yes i plugged it in and restarted my computer lol) jw if anyone knew is it possible that because its a compaq mouse it will not work for my bros custom built computer?

You prob need the softwear for it... do you have the disc that it most likely came with?.. if no then go to compaq.com and see if they have the download that is most likely what is wrong or atleast my guess.. and it should work with his comp...

Well is the wireless mouse part of your brothers custom built computer? If it is, your stuck with that. I have a dell computer and i switched from a dell mouse to a dell mouse and it works fine-_-. Im pretty sure you have to use the mouse that is with your bros computer.. anything else probably wont work. :?

Lol i dont even think compaq has a website i couldnt find it and when i googled it hp came up and it showed afew mouses but not the one i had so idk yet and i dont remember having a disk the mouse worked right when i popped it in on my old computer but i guess im just gunna end up buying anew one i guess

I just went on the hp support and downloads etc.

I typed in mouse and got these results, go through them and check them out, might be the one. Click here

Try and find out the proper name for the mouse, so like. Compaq blah blah.

Wait could it be that the mouse is only compatiable for Vista? because my brother has Xp

lol it shoudl be compatible with anything. Unless you got a mouse from the 19th century, it should be plug and play. Maybe it's broken? Have you tried using your old mouse in another computer?♠

Yes it works fine on my old computer just not mine
