I've always had troubles with my Net. But I lately too kthe time to check out the specs on it, and I'm getting around 10% of the power I should be. And it sucks. First of all, I was wondering if speedtest.net is a worthwhile site. It was recommended to me by someone I know, but I do not really know their comp background. And secondly, what should I do? I'm going to call Comcast(My IP) and bitch them out till they come over, and then show them my crappy stats.

http://www.speedtest.net/summary.php

hope that works. I figured with all the people that know oodles about computers I could get some help before all hell breaks loose and I unleash my wrath upon my IP(They totally deserve it.)

First of all, what should your speed be? This Results show 15 megs of download and 2 of upload. I personally don't see anything wrong with this since its cable that you have and that's pretty good speed that you have. If you say that's 10 percent, then god damn, do you have a business contract with them?

**EDIT**

Aperrantly the site you have linked, gives MY results, not yours. If you are getting a a lowered speed that you have on your contract with them, They might be capping you for bandwidth overloading. If you download a lot, they thend to do that. From what I heard though, they only cap Bit torrent.

I use limewire, but not that much. Certainly not enough to warrant killing my entire connection(or all but that.)

Uhh, have you restarted your computer/modem/router yet?

&tested your results on another computer? And speaking of another computer - are you sure your dad or someone else in your network isn't on a mission to download every episode of LOST while you're on?

What exactly is slowing down? Is it the connection on Steam games or is it your internet in general? Try looking at your firewall settings.
