Ok... so most people can hold Shift + tab and talk to there friends while counterstrike or any other steam game is still open,

BUT

When i do it it doesnt want to work.... it hasnt for a while.. so i tried re installing.. that didnt work.. im not sure what went wrong.. someone please help me out?

your gameoverlay.exe must not open when your game starts. Mine used to close all the time on my laptop, most times it would happen when i was talking to someone on friends in game.

This happened to me last night. I just restarted my computer and i went in game. When i pressed shift+tab, it worked. Just restart your computer.
