Heres a link to my post about it on fpsbanana.com
http://www.fpsbanana.com/threads/130653?posts_page=LAST#msgbox

Summary: When I talk something prevents my voice going through and it kinda masks all other sound for everyone as far as I can tell. Its not my mic it self, nor is it windows or anything. This problem is exclusive to TF2 not even another HL2 based game has this problem for me.

I've searched for a lot and the closest Ive found was messing with the voice_ commands in the console and a ton of dumbasses who didn't turn their mics on\plug in.

Any suggestions?

have you tried plugging your mic out and in? have you played with the transmit volume/mic volume? adjust the mouth piece?

Its a desktop mic, and I should have said the volume does nothing really kinda turns down the static I guess. What would the plugging in\out do? I'll try it.

I tried my old non usb mic, it was possible to hear me but I would have to yell so loud for anyone else to and thats if everything else was quiet. It also fucked up all my other stuff.

Hmmm.. I recommend taking the dick out of your mouth when you play. Yes.. Yes.. That would solve the problem!

Mine does the same on CZ if I watch a demo, then go back into a server, without restarting CZ.

Yes I've tinkered with just about every aspect of the voice in TF2 in options and console. I'm starting to think that it may just be that TF2 does no like the mic I have. I know that sounds like a dumbass comment I mean its a logitech mic, but thats all I can think of. My last attempt to fix it is to delete TF2 and do a full re install. Other than that the only thing I could do is buy a new mic, but mine works fine on everything else though its exceptionally quiet on cz for some reason or another.
