I kinda see your problem. You said that your monitor cable does not connect with the video card. The video card should have come with an adapter. Install the video card properly, make sure that you connect the card to the power supply if it isn't self-powered, and make sure to install the correct drivers.

i had a similar problem where i needed to disable my integrated video card before shutting it down and plug the monitor into the the video card, it worked, but the video card didn't cuz it was fuckin defected lol, just sayin so incase you have an integrated you should disable it (not uninstall)

Oh yea. I suggest you disable the integrated video card after you properly install the video card.

My computer doesnt even work....

When I press the Power button it starts green then switches to red and starts blinking. My monitor want even work either.

And I thought that the onboard card would go off on its own...thats what someone told me.

i don't think it turns off on it's own all the time, did you plug the monitor back into the tower and not the video card? and is the video card out when you're doing that?

So I don't think its my monitor thats not working anymore but my computer

I think I might need to get a new fan or something. I googled "4 blinking red lights PC" and this came up

http://www.fixya.com/support/t1185019-blinking_red_lights_startup

not sure if that's the right solution.

You didn't knock off the cpu cooler, or accidentally unplug it, did you?

no I don't think I unpluged it, even if i did I would have plugged it back in. I checked everything and everything seems plugged in.
I might just call geek squad to help.

There are no computer repair stores near Tahoe that I can go to by bus.
It sucks living in a town....and on top of that not having a car :(

Have to take a cab if I don't want geek squad....and that will probably cost A LOT!!!
