^ what he said, you shoulda made sure you had the specs, like, google some info on it next time, and then google your tower model #

Edit: oh yes, and it's fixable, post what series and all that the card is, then post your tower model number

i need the model number of your tower, not the specs of your tower, the model number should be something like GT4022 on it (my old computer) or FX6710-01 (my new comp) like that

Quote:
For the eVGA e-GeForce 7600 GT 256MB DDR3 they recommend a minimum 350W power supply with 18A on the +12v rail, for the ones with the eVGA fan they recommend a 400W power supply. BFG recommends a 350W power supply with 20A on the +12v rail.

eVGA also recommends a minimum 350W power supply with 18A for the 7300GT. BFG recommends a 350W supply and doesn't mention current ratings.

You would probably get away with 18A for the BFG card, but it's still better to get what they recommend, or if there are any problems they will probably say, get a new PSU. Different manufacteres recommends different ratings and wattage, check with them first to make sure.

apparently you want a 350W or better, but i'd like to see ur tower to see if your PSU isn't the issue

it'll be bold letters, and it's generally on/next to the specifications of the tower sticker

Hm, I had the 7600 GT which used to be self power. I think you need a new PSU. The weird thing is that the pc should not have been able to turn on at all. Get a new PSU, they are pretty cheap.

no, an under powered GPU will still power on, it will just run at a very limited capacity.

Just 1 thing, my computer has a 7600gt in it (AGP version) and it has a power cable hook up to it, so you have to plug in a power cord to the card or it will not work right. Does yours have this plug, and if it does, do you have it plugged in?

Looks like this:
