So since my computer went retarded I can't use it anymore until I fix it or If I get a new one. I'm thinking about building a computer or having Cole build one for me. So I was wondering how much everything would be and what parts I would need. I just want to know how much everything is so I can save up....which might take awhile |

Same here, I don't know how long my laptop will last and I know that I might need a better replacement(prefereably with uber gaming power I'd like to know about the prices too. |

Yeah, I dont think she wants to spend that much. I just picked up a 9800 GX2 for $100 so my 9600 GSO is up for sale. $100 Antec Case w/380 watt psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 1681112903 $235 Quad core 45nm Phenom Black edition 3.0ghz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103471 $22 LG 20x dvd burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6827136149 $75 WD 640gb Hard drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6822136218 $50 4gb DDR1066 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231145 $75 Gigabyte AMD motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128376 ~580 shipped, this is without a video card, but I would be willing to cut you a nice deal on my card, it is not the best thing out there, but it would be a card that can play everything out right now, and then in a year or 2 you can buy a $100-200 card and upgrade. This right here would be a very nice computer, but if needed we can cut out around $100 and still have a good computer (cheaper CPU/memory/hard drive). Also this is without an OS, but I do have XP pro, XP pro x64, and vista (not the 64 vista). |

When I return the power supply and video card, that's gonna go to my savings for the computer. So I'll have around...180-190. So it might take 3 or more months to save up the rest. I might just wait it out instead of lowering the price. Plus since I can't use the memory I bought now I can return it for new RAM. Newegg won't let me return it to them (gay), but I think I can exchange it if I contact the company (kingston) or something. So I hope that works out. |

Also what would be better, to have Vista 32 bit or XP 64? |

for normal use, vista 32. if your going to have over 4GB of memory, get the 64bit version. |

So I might be able to get a computer next month IF its around $400-$500 MAX. Not sure if I can buy a computer for that much or have it built. And I might want to get a laptop (for school, but also can run CZ) I'm thinking about this laptop: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152098 Or this desktop: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227136 Do you guys think its any good? And could I get one cheaper if it's built? |

Neither of those computers have a video card. Whenever you have the money ready I will piece together a computer for you, the best bang for the buck. |

I forgot to mention that if you do make the computer the shipping has to be in the total of 400-500 :/ Unless my mom says that she can pay a little more. Not sure. But anyways, so how would I send you the parts? Order them to your address? |

Well, you cant order parts to another address, unless you add it to the credit card's secondary shipping address. This is one reason I don't like building computers for other people, its just a pain. I will make special exceptions, so we will just have to figure it out. The best way would be to send the money to me, I order everything and then mail it to you, more or less you are buying a computer from me, doubt your mom would be cool with that though. All I can say though is that I have never screwed anyone over for money, but if you can figure out a way to send me all the parts (aka send me 500 worth of parts) whats the difference between that and sending me a $500 check. If you want to be really safe, you can use paypal (its how pepto and poptart did it) but there is a limit, may have to send it over 2 months. But paypal allows you to dispute a charge and get your money back. Also if you are interested I still have a EVGA 9600 video card that I will give away for $20. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130356 |

I'll tell my mom about that and see what she thinks. My mom will probably want to send a check, I just gotta ask her. Can't wait for the new computer!!! |

I got something like that and you need at least 500W I think. I got an 600W power supply which is fair enough. Maybe this: PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817171031 Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811119137 prices: PSU: $40 Case: $80 Total: $120 20 more than the other set up but much more power. |
