ok, when i first got my computer my mic worked fine, no problems at all (got the computer on 12/31/08) a month goes by and bam, it stops working all of a sudden and i don't find a solution to it untill april, i fixed it by playing with my settings, now all of a sudden, it stops working again and this time i played with my settings, so wtf is the deal? btw my drivers are up-to-date, i even did a driver rollback and re-installed my driver and restarted and nothing

mic is broken or try restarting your PC and see if it works, if not, it's broken.
