Post subject:  Steam Login

I kept on getting kicked off the Splak server because I was logged in at some other location?

I decided to quit Steam and reenter b/c I was sick of being disconnected and now it says "Login to Steam failed. Wither the specific account does not exist, or the password is wrong. Please check your accound name and password and try again."

WTF do I do? If I make another account I lose all my games and friends list.

Congratulations!

You have been hacked!

Please contact steam support, or fuck it and just buy a new account!

Seriously, you've been hacked. If you still have a proof of purchase, contact steam support and they'll get you your account back.

Seeing a password change message means you have been hacked.

Dont give out your name or password to other people, and if you didnt do that, then you are pretty unlucky that someone wanted to hack your account.

i typed the link in my adress bar and went to the website, and my computer immediately blocked it for forgery. It was definitely the website. Glad you showed us it so we can prevent further theft. Chunky is the man for suggesting it. 8)

Sorry if this is harsh, but let me get this straight...

-You entered your username/password on some site that someone sent you with a big red "REPORTED FORGERY" warning on it. Even if you don't use Firefox, IE has a scam filter built it, why are you not paying attention to it?
-You noticed that someone else was logged in on your account but decided to do nothing except log off and try to log back on.
-You don't want to use a stronger password in the future because you think it would take too long to enter it.

Based on those things, I'd say you 100% deserved getting your account hacked. Don't make the same mistakes again when/if you get your account back...
