So, i'm pretty confused about how to setup a dual screen. I've been told that I need two graphics cards and i've been told that I can do it with one graphics card, but it has to have a dual head.

So, basically my question:

Can you setup a dual screen monitor if you have two DVI ports on your graphics card, but use a VGA > DVI converter thing to plug it in or is just not possible?

What card do you have, and yes, if you have 2 ports, you can do 2 monitors.

Plug in both monitors, turn on computer, go to nvidia control panel, go to "set up multiple displays"

Im pretty sure if you go to the desktop options where you change resolution of screen you will see the options for dual monitor.

^Exactly. Plus I do that with my laptop's LCD with my plasma screen in my room and it works fine.
