so i'm workin my butt off and showin my dad that i can play and still do good in school (when it starts) and be responsible and limit my time during the summer... and i'm helping him get his computer to work faster but i have some questions.... first off. i found a video card compatible with my computer on a pretty good website.. i'm not sure if it's any good so i'll let the pros answer it... (btw, my pc is an HP Pavilion a1268c). http://www.4allmemory.com/index.cfm?fus ... _id=238177 then i'm getting a 1 TB internal Hard Drive: http://www.4allmemory.com/index.cfm?fus ... _id=238003 also would i need a sound card? |

why do you need a 1 TB HD? i highly doubt you'll need it, get this card, this is my card, and it can run Crysis on the highest settings possible http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814131153 as for HD, i highly doubt you'll need 1 TB, but that's your call, i'd get it if you were gonna download a shit load of music/movies and you were gonna back it all up now the card you're looking at is a PCI slot, if you decide to get that, you'll need to know where to put it in, same goes for the card i suggested, the card i suggested is a PCI-E http://www.3dnews.ru/_imgdata/img/2007/12/14/68292.jpg the black and blue one are the PCI-E x16 slots, i checked your comp's specs and you have a PCI-E x16, and no AGP slots, now, to tell the difference between your slots, the PCI slot has an indentation on the right, while the PCI-E slot has an indentation on the left and on the other side has this like, thing popping out now just a fair warning..i don't know what power supply you have, and i don't know what kind of PSU you have, and to run the vid card i suggested, i have a 400Watt PSU, so if you can find out your PSU that'd be great |

eh, i found one that's 400w that's more expensive to a 480 one.. maybe the 400w is more reliable or so but i think i'll get the 480 one |

Also, if he's running backups on that computer the 1TB would be nice, but not necessary. |
