Post subject:  Networking Problems

For some reason my network is really slow. I have around 3 computers connected to it and all of them are blinking constantly even when there is no activity on the computers. I already scanned my computer with avast! butand found pretty much nothing. The wireless however works fine. Mone o fthe computers cant connect at all and my computer is kinda slow and has terrible upload speed. Anyone know what's going on? I personally think it could be the router's Ethernet ports that are messed up or something.

He is talking about his internal network... not external.

The upload speed has gone up but is still fairly low. Also, now Im also able to connect to the other computer but connection drops everyone once in a while.

How are you connecting 1 computer to the other (software wise).

I share a folder, then go to the other computer and do a start/run "\\computername" then explore the folder/drag/drop.

I share folders using windows permissions and crap and then just map the rive. I fixed by just switching routers :\ The only problem is that this router sucks for wireless so I got to call verizon for a new one.

couldn't you barrow another network router from someone to make sure yours isn't being a gay little piece of equipment trash? If it is I highly think you should take it and smash it on the floor, then go and buy a new one. you're welcome for the help!
