"My Steam won't go online, it comes up with the connection error message, that usually comes up when you don't have your Internet on, but my Internet is working.

I clicked retry connection, but it just comes up with an offline STEAM for about a second, then closes completely.I can go onto offline mode, but I want to play online again. I do not know what's happening, any help would be appreciated."

Pleeeeeease :3

Where ever you installed Steam.
(Where the .exe file is)

clientregistry.blob file is what you are probably looking for.

What about this.. You go to Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs and then remove steam. Go to www.steampowered.com and re-instal steam and voila!

* Completely exit from the Steam client.
* Go to C:\Program Files\Steam (or the Steam directory that was specified during installation).
* Locate ClientRegistry.blob and rename this file to ClientRegistryOld.blob.
* Restart Steam to allow the file to be recreated.
* Test the issue once more.

The same happens. I rename it, and when I try to start steam the steam folder creates a new ClientRegistry.blob. D:
And the same "Steam.exe (main exeption) To run Steam you must first connect to the internet."
It does not even give me the "Go offline" or "Try again" anymore.
I tryed to uninstall and install again, same happens.
I even back up the computer, but still the saaame.

Mandy got it. :)
I just kept renaming the ClientRegistry.blob. file, over and over again.
Stem got bored of making a new ClientRegistry.blob, and finally started.
I rename it more than 10 times. ._.
And everytime i rename it, i restarted my Pc.
And it work. :)

Thank you, VMAN, Wraith, Romo, AsianLOL, and Bread. :)
