Hey guys! So I'm using this guide to jailbreak my ipod touch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix5gEKly6fQ I've gotten to the part where I am supposed to select the firmware that QuickPwn is using by browsing files to find it. I "downloaded" it by saving it to itunes AND "opening" with itunes. No Matter where I save or open it, I can't seem to find where exactly it is located. Both the download for QuickPwn and this other firmware bundle thingamajig are in the sidebar of the video. Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

I would say use redsn0w.. it's much better and by tomorrow, i'll make a zip or rar file with all the things you need to jailbreak your iPod

no dude youtube blackrain it literally takes like 2 minutes and it installs an app on your ipod... then from that app yu can download cydia and icy so much faster

and also it does all that other stuff jailbreaking does

Man I am so damn frustrated with this, I've already tried 3 softwares and none of them work. One of the main problems is that they are all firmware specific. Redsn0w doesn't work on anything but third generation ipod touches and iphones, same with black rain.

i think you download the new firmware, then when you start the jailbreak it asks you for it, then you direct it to it so it can JB it i really don't remember lol but i thought it was confusing as well

I've been doing this shit for a while and I'll tell you the best way to do it for right now is blackra1n. Just plug in your phone to the computer and press make it rain, and within a couple seconds its done. The rest you do with your phone.

I'm doing it with redsn0w for my classmates.. i was gonna charge 10 bucks each but i do it for free seeing you guys help others for free... So i know that with this, the link i gave you, it works 100% I'm jailbreaking my friend's ipod as we speak :P
