So in cz my computer jumps to about 30 loss every 5 seconds just about, and I'm not sure about my choke. The lag spikes are weird because I do not look like I'm lagging one bit, but everyone around me starts teleporting. I ran Security Essentials, and had two TrojanDownloaders, but removed them. Anyone know why I'm still spiking?

Easiest thing to do to a computer that is not acting normal
-Start
-Run
-type: cmd then press enter
-type chkdsk /r
- press Y then enter for any question it asks
Reboot your pc and let this check run, it could take up to 2 hours. This fixes about 50% of issues I have with any computer acting slow or laggy.

Just FYI for anyone reading this, during the days of windows 95/98/ME there used to be a chkdsk every time you turned your computer on, if it did not properly shut down. They removed this because people complained, but this does not mean it was not needed...

chkdsk /r should be run like once a month or so, or every time after your computer does not properly shut down / locks up.

chkdsk /f is a faster version, but does less of a check, this one is great to fix a quick issue and move on, the /r does the same thing as the /f except it also checks free space on the drive for physical errors.

So general rule, run a chkdsk /r and then defrag like once a month to keep your computer running better.

Alright I remember you told me about chkdsk /r a long long time ago, but I forgot about it, but I just re-installed TuneUp Utilities and I already run it about every 2 weeks along with a virus scan weekly to keep my computer fresh also so I should be fine now.
