http://www.techreport.com/discussions.x/18589 There has been confirmation that steam is going to mac, hence he new UI beta built on webkit... now they have confirmed they are going to release all the valve games on OpenGL (what mac uses instead of directX). So that means if you have a MAC you can play L4D(2) with us, on your mac OS. Quote: The inclusion of WebKit into Steam, and of OpenGL into Source gives us a lot of flexibility in how we move these technologies forward. We are treating the Mac as a tier-1 platform so all of our future games will release simultaneously on Windows, Mac, and the Xbox 360. Updates for the Mac will be available simultaneously with the Windows updates. Furthermore, Mac and Windows players will be part of the same multiplayer universe, sharing servers, lobbies, and so forth. We fully support a heterogeneous mix of servers and clients. The first Mac Steam client will be the new generation currently in beta testing on Windows.

I'm curious if Steve Jobs is going to find a way to start up his own "Condensation" or something proprietary and ban Steam from Mac. Then charge everyone a service charge to play games on his hardware. |

I would be more happy if this was for Linux. :'( At least this means running games thru Wine might be easier now since I believe OpenGL is open source? (someone correct me if I'm wrong) |

Was valve even thinking when they did that? What will happen when 1 mac player holds down 3 PC people in L4D because they cant melee and they get downed 20 times? Ugh. Valve does NOT get us. |

Lol, true that...but there is actually a way to do a right click in OSX I think. The university I go to has a huge lab full of OSX machines and they somehow enabled a "right click" function when you click on the right side of the one button mouse. No idea how that works, maybe the mouse itself has a sensor on it. But yeah, it's possible to right click! lol |
