I need a new monitor and since there are still some deals going on, I might as well buy one now. I don't know anything about monitors though so I need some help deciding what buy. Best Buy has deals going on until Dec. 4th.

Any help and advice on what I should look for/avoid, or monitor suggestions would be awesome.

I try to avoid 16:9 monitors like 1080p (1920x1080), they are super wide and in games cut off the top and bottom of the game. 16x10 is better for games, 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 are the ones to look for, unfortunately they are getting harder and harder to find.

Is there a difference between WLED and LCD? Pro's and Con's? All Google has to say is that it's a different type of back lighting.

Google is right, its just the light in the monitor that lights the screen :) LED-LCD is more power efficient than a ColdCathode-LCD.
