Has anyone on the boards taken any of the Cisco cert exams? I'm sitting for the 640-802 at the end of October/Early November. Just wondering if anyone has gone down this road.

Nope, wanted to take a class for it online when I was in highschool but not enough people signed up for it so they canceled it.

No, but I did pass three Microsoft exams. The reason I bring this up is because the material I used to study them with was called TestKing which was THE best thing I could have asked for. It's a series of practice questions like the real test (many of them were close to word-for-word) with detailed explanations on why A B C or D is correct and why the others are not. I wanna say they probably have 'em for Cisco cert exams - if so, my highest recommendation in trying it out.

Not yet, I'm hoping to do one somewhen soon. I've currently done two Cisco Networking Essential Exams. Not sure whether they're anything like that. Good luck though!

I've currently downloaded and have been working through the Cisco Packet Tracer labs(ie. a emulator with problems that you must solve either through a gui, or by telnet) I also have GNS3, which is a simulator which will give you "hands on" experience in loading ios images from nvram just like you would in the real world. The only downside is that it doesn't have a decent managed switch, so I'll likely be buying one on the cheap to practice with.

The lesson material that I've found is CBTNuggets. It came HIGHLY recommended from everyone I have spoken with. I've also downloaded several flashcard programs for my android phone, to help to burn in IOS commands to my memory while not busy at work. If anyone has any questions, or would like to piggyback off the research that I've done, they're more than welcome. I'll gladly help any of you out if you're interested. If there's enough interest, I can host everything I've found in a zip, and anyone who wants it can download it. It's about 2GB worth of stuff.
