Not sure if the forum is still active but I need a little help on a purchase decision, I'm debating on whether to purchase an hp dv6t select edition laptop or a Lenovo Y570.

HP Specs: $780
2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M Processor (2.4 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) Turbo Boost to 3.0 GHz .
1GB Radeon(TM) HD 6770M GDDR5 Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
750GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
15.6" High Definition HP LED Brightview (1366x768)

They both have very similar video cards, the 555m is slightly more powerful, but all the other specs (faster cpu, more ram, faster hard drive) are better on the HP.

Expect playable fps on newer games on low to med settings.

Thanks for the input, My main concern about the 6770m was that I heard that AMD was notorious about slow and poor driver releases that hindered the power of the graphics card. Has anyone heard about these issues? If it isn't too bad then I'll most likely get the HP. If it really is that big of a problem from AMD then I may just get the Lenovo even if the other specs are lower.

You won't have any (more) issues with the ATI, both ATI and Nvidia have poor mobile graphics driver updates lol.
