Post subject:  Gameplay gun option etc.
I went to a surf server, and it somehow changed my options...

Instead of you seeing what the weapons are in the buy menu, or picking your person, i get this layout

Anyone know how I can change that back, and how I can change the colour of writing back to the normal colour? :?

oh this happened to me yesterday, just go to your options menu and click advanced, scroll down and you'll find a buy menu dropdown, and i think the one you want is VGUI menu or somthing

and btw, do you know the command to get the color your text is? i like it to be green, i've gotten used to it

go to options and click advanced and their should be a menu thing and there are 2 different ones u can choose from, just pick the other one, and as for the writing...i forgot the yellow code but i know the white code

con_color "255 255 255" and cl_crosshair_color "1000 1000 1000"

white is way better imo but ask stack for the yellow code, he knows it

Options, Hit Multiplayer Tab, Hit Advanced, Look for Buy Menu Type - and scroll to VGUI Menus and hit Okay and Apply.


I prefer the Old Menu's though, their much faster and easier to buy with.

Yeah, ask anyone in game to type con_color in console, and for them to tell you what it replies back with (if they have not changed theirs). It is something like
con_color "255 140 60" or something

somehow i accidentally changed my color to green but it wasnt by con_color. i think it was like menu 1 or something idk... but i never figured out how to change it back, ill try this stuff then.

I had this problem start a while ago, using the console commands didn't work, the text colour kinda changes every so often now:?

^ That is the default.

If you do NOT do the quotes, then it will randomly change whenever it wants
