My friend Charles is on a faster bike than me, about 100lbs lighter (bike + rider) plus 25 more horespower, but I stuck on Charles the whole time, last lap going into the back straight I kinda got the mindset that I wanted to show Charles I was right there on the last lap and get beside him, got throttle happy and almost lost it. But I was still incredibly impressed that I kept up with him for all the laps. He talked alot of shit before how he was going to leave me behind, because the last track day I beat him bad, on a smaller track with tighter turns (my bike and I can turn better than him), while his bike is better at high speed, and this track is very high speed. Also keep in mind my slicks are taller than street tires, so 155mph on the gauge is more like 160+ My bike was actually injured and running bad, I blew apart my header collector, but kept riding it, then after my header broke in half at the engine, I quit, but still had a good time. Look forward to going back there with a properly running bike. Also my bike will be back on the street and all fixed up in about 2 weeks when I get the parts. Next race will be in October! So if you only want to watch a short vid watch this one, this is my best session, low traffic, nice and good flow, and Charles is right infront of me this whole vid: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5r3vRlm2EzM If you want to see my whole day, click here: http://youtube.com/my_playlists?p=13883B9637FE6786 I am going to try to do a split screen of the 3rd session from Charles cam and my cam sometime, whenever I get his vids. And here are some pics:

Charles's bike with the track fairing and tire warmers
Both of these bikes were painted by us (except gas tank), not bad... Now, for the damage: This happened 1st session, and blew all the heat wrap off 2nd, said screw it, kept going. Other side My dog helps me work on my bike: Then this happened, and my day was done: |
