The only reason they delayed it was so it could be released on the x anniversary of Half-Life (2 weeks - Nov. 20th). |

Maybe you guys have been reading up on it more than I but from that trailer it doesn't look like anything special. I've not played resident evil but the pics and videos Ive seen of the monsters look a hell of a lot better than those, and HL2's zombies are better imo. To me it just looks like generic fps #64 with a new skin. Whats so new about it? I want to get excited about a new game coming out for a change. Edit: Also I was thinking about getting Dead Rising, I think its the one I'm imagining where you're stuck in a mall with a shit load of zombies. It was a 360 launch title so I missed it |

The gameplay is what it is all about. Online co-op, you can play as zombies, different classes of zombies, the huge guy can pick up things from the environment and use them. Zombies can kinda see through some walls, to setup ambushes, etc. |

Yeah, you cannot play solo. Obviously if you're by yourself you can play with AI allies, but the point is you HAVE to work as a team, or you will lose. It's really the first game that truly relies on team-based game play. |

Also because of a new technology they implemented called the AI director. Every time you play it, it's always different even on the same map. The zombie placements and amounts are completely dynamic, and it's smart about how it does it. So for example, say you're a hotshot, but playing on medium. If you and your team are just completely dominating the zombies, it will make it much, much harder for you by spawning and sending out tons more in an all-out ambush. However, if it realizes you are not cut-out to be a zombie hunter and are getting crushed - it will back off a little. Like I said, the game play is dynamic - it's an ever changing experience no matter how many times you go through it. In all honesty though I was not impressed by their trailer. Videos of the ingame footage are much better. |
