wow, ive expierienced something similar to this when I lived in Boerne with my grandparents. They had a house by the Guadalupe River (a fairly long and big river in texas, popular with tubers), it rained upstream and then moved downstream and rained on us. The river ended up rising 23 feet and uprooted and in some places bent 80 year old oak trees.
