Your computer is too crappy to compile the map you made?

the map mite be too big if your computer is not great.

i guess so lol. My RAM usage was going up all the way to 2000 and then it just failed and stopped compiling.

I think its ram...

ok so im making a splak_nuke map, and i cant seem to find the textures for it in hammer. Is there a way to get more textures other than the ones that are already in hammer?

EDIT:I looked on youtube to see how to make a ladder and they seem to have tons and tons of textures. I only seem to have about 120

Just allocate yourself more virtual memory.

-Right click "my computer" hit properties
-Advanced tab
-Under "Performance" select settings
-Advanced tab
-At the bottom select "Change"
-Under custom size, Maximum Size, change it to 4092
-Press "set" then press ok a few times, and "yes" to restart.

they're probably using halflife.wad

find it on fpsbanana, download it and put it where ever you put your wad files

I changed it to 4092, and it said i needed to restart my computer to take affect, so i did. Then I checked to see what it said and...

At the bottom where it says "Commit Charge", it now says 745M/1249M. So it lowered for some reason. (unless its supposed to do that?)

I found it and it said halflife.wad on the first download link. So i clicked it and it went to the other download link but it said halflife.rar

So idk what to do now because that was the only one i found. Can someone send me the correct link to the file? thanks in advance (lol that rhymes!)
