i don't have any MMORPGs in mind that can hold the title 'greatest'. every MMORPG is unique or similar to other MMORPGs. mm.. some unique ones i played during my years of gaming are Atlantica and Granado Espada (Sword of the New World or SONW). these two games are 'hybrids' you can say. mixed in with a lil RPG into them but yeah, no doubt WoW is one of the top along with Lineage 2 and Silkroad.

Guild Wars was always fun, thought the PvP style was better than most MMOs


And for whoever actually PLAYS Silk Road Online, I give you a fucking hand because that game is CONSTANT grinding for years to get level capped. I played for about a year and half and got to around level 50..60/80.

Runes of magic is a good free mmo if anyones still looking for one. WoW alternative pretty much same gameplay. good game. Me and smackahoe just started playin

Shaiya by aeriagames was my favorite. It had a huge guild war type plot. PvP for faction on faction when you enter the borderlands between the Alliance of Light and the Union of Fury. 4 races, 2 per faction, and 3 classes per race.

Also, Tales of Pirates online was a cute little avatar game that actually got pretty in-depth and addicting. I stopped playing for about half a year though, and my account got deleted due to inactivity :/

Stellar Dawn is the new Jagex mmorpg and they're claiming for it to be amazing. You can sign up for the beta also and hopefully get accepted.
