BUT, once again this DOESNT apply to you just because YOU have been FRIENDS with the girl forever. That's what everyone is missing! It's a completely different situation if you haven't known the girl for long.

Like I said before since you have known the girl for a long time, clearly you guys have become very close friends and very truthful to each other. SHE would want you to be truthful to her and she would want you to tell her how you feel. Don't bring it out all at once, just take it slow. Let her know how you feel; chances are that she has most likely had a thought about the same thing.

Also DO NOT let her go through with the relationship with the douche. She'll get her heart broken and if she finds out about the you knowing why the guy is a douche she'll be really upset.

let me mention that I'm 26.

Let me also state that if she wanted to be anything more than just friends. She would have made a move on you. The sooner you realize that she wasn't interested in the nice guy and chose to pursue the douche...the better you will be.

You will be better off trying to preserve your friendship because i Guarantee that you will lose the friendship too if you try to step between them.
